Pure Salmon Kaldnes appointed Jon Pedersen as its engineering and technology manager. As part of Pure Salmon Kaldnes’ new strategy, the company will open an office in Fredericia, Denmark in 2023. Jon Pedersen will be a central part of the team that will work at his office and reveals that part of the reason for starting in the company is to help build up the company's new office, with all the exciting opportunities it offers in Fredericia.

Pedersen comes from AKVA as global head of engineering in AKVA group Land Based.

“During my time at AKVA group, I have had an exciting job where I have been the project manager on, among others, the Bakkafrost Strond project in the Faroe Islands. This was a large project that consisted of nine RAS departments. In the last year as head of engineering, I’ve worked on building a professional engineering organization as well as equipping it for future growth,” Pedersen said.

Jon Pedersen's broad experience in the aquaculture industry will be very useful in Pure Salmon Kaldnes. “I think there is an exciting development in the industry right now, and I chose Pure Salmon Kaldnes because they are a dynamic company that dares to think new. It is really close to my heart to be involved in building an organization and structuring it in a targeted and efficient way as I will here in Pure Salmon Kaldnes,” Pedersen continued.

Kent Kongsdal Rasmussen, CEO at Pure Salmon Kaldnes, said, “we are a company that supplies complete solutions within the RAS industry and our customers are among the most progressive and most demanding. We, therefore, need to have an organization with skills that can match this.”

“Since 8F and Pure Salmon's takeover of the company in the summer of 2021, we have undergone a major change and development. We have doubled the number of employees and started internationalization, which means that we will be in additional markets, we, therefore, need offices outside Norway. The first step is Denmark. It makes good business sense to open an office in Denmark. The driving force behind this decision is access to experience and expertise. The office in Denmark will be closely integrated with the offices in Norway and the UAE,” Rasmussen concluded.
