Armin F Koernig Hatchery
Armin F Koernig Hatchery (AFK) is an off-grid facility located on Evans Island, only a 10-minute boat ride from Chenega, a small rural community with weekly commuter plane access. AFK releases nearly 200 million smolts of Pink and Chum salmon each year, contributing to resource sustainability in the southwest region of Prince William Sound.
PWSAC is looking for an experienced professional to join and lead its Pacific Chum and Pink salmon hatchery operations. The candidate will oversee all aspects of hatchery operations, including fish culture, personnel management, safety and compliance, and budgeting. A deep understanding of fish hatchery operations, aquaculture practices, and a proven track record of strong management skills are required.
