The Norwegian parliament, the Storting, has officially approved the aquaculture tax proposal of 25% on Wednesday.
Initially proposed at 40% in September 2022, industry representatives said that it will undermine price competitiveness and economic growth. The new tax decision applies for Norwegian fish farmers from January 1, 2023.
