Genics has partnered with Weatherby’s Scientific, a global leader in high throughput genotyping, to offer ShrimpID to the world as a bespoke genetic analysis suite for shrimp breeding programs.

Weatherby’s Scientific is an industry-leading laboratory specializing in genetic testing solutions. Over the past 30 years, it has developed a reputation as a center of excellence in animal genotyping. This enables farmers to utilize selective breeding programs that leverage detailed relatedness information to deliver genetically diverse and robust production populations.

ShrimpID’s comprehensive marker set provides the data to establish detailed relatedness estimates among broodstock and tested animals, sex identification, and markers within genes that regulate productivity and disease resistance.
