Charoen Pokphand Foods Public Company Limited (CP Foods) has attained certification for its antibiotic-free products, as seven of its shrimp farms in Thailand have been granted Antibiotic-Free Product Certification by SGS (Thailand) Company Limited, a renowned global authority in inspection, testing, and certification. This milestone underscores CP Foods' steadfast dedication to ensuring food safety and delivering top-tier shrimp products of exceptional quality to consumers worldwide.

Pairoj Apiruknusit, head of Integrated Aquaculture Business (Thailand) at CP Foods said the company has set a new standard in shrimp farming by implementing advanced biosafety measures and innovative probiotic farming techniques. These methods enhance the natural health and immunity of shrimp, ensuring the production of premium, antibiotic-free products. This initiative aligns with CP Foods' mission to ensure food security and deliver excellence across the value chain, from farm to table.

The seven CP Foods farms recognized for their outstanding commitment to antibiotic-free products include Kanchanadit Farm, SR1 Farm, SR4 Farm, Andaman Farm, Pak Phanang 1 Farm, Nakhon Farm, and Ranot Farm. These farms play a critical role in supplying raw materials to the Ranot food processing facility, maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, water quality, and environmental sustainability.

The acquisition of the Antibiotic-Free Product Certification from SGS (Thailand) reflects CP Foods' adherence to international safety standards and the effectiveness of third-party audits. This certification is more than a badge of honor; it is a testament to the company's rigorous approach to ensuring the health and safety of its products. By eliminating the use of antibiotics in its shrimp farms, CP Foods not only prioritizes consumer health but also contributes to the sustainability of the environment and the global food supply chain.

“This certification not only validates our commitment to clean, sustainable, and responsible farming practices but also strengthens consumer trust in our products. It enhances our competitiveness on the international stage, ensuring that CP Foods continues to be synonymous with quality and safety in the global food market,” said Pairoj.
