Avanti Feeds announced that commercial production at its expanded feed manufacturing plant located at Bandapuram, Andhra Pradesh, has commenced in December 2022.
The company has expanded its operations at its existing plant in Andhra Pradesh through an additional capacity of 175,000 metric tonnes (MT). The total production capacity has increased from 600,000 MT to 775,000 MT. The expansion estimated cost was INR 1.25 billion (USD 15 million).
The Hyderabad-based company is a producer of shrimp feed. It operates with a supply chain and a farm-to-fork model using a vertically integrated infrastructure of aquaculture farms, feed mills, hatcheries and processing plants.
