Trout genetics and broodstock supplier, Troutlodge, has appointed Joe McElwee as general manager.

Joe brings extensive experience in the aquaculture industry. He has been involved in fish farming since the mid-1980s, with a diverse background that spans several species, including trout, salmon, halibut, turbot, cod, Arctic charr, and European seabass. He has worked in various countries and farming systems, including RAS (Recirculating Aquaculture Systems), flow-through, and offshore marine cage sites. Joe has played a key role in managing startup farms from egg to market, implementing new technologies, and turning around underperforming operations into successful ventures.

Joe will officially begin his journey with us on November 25th, during his first visit to Troutlodge. He is eager to work closely with the team and leverage the strength of Hendrix Genetics to achieve our shared goals and further strengthen our position in the industry.
