Robin Pearl has resigned as CEO of American Mariculture, American Penaeid and Sun Shrimp Gourmet. Pearl co-founded the companies and has been working on them over the past 11 years.

“Unfortunately, after the past two back-to-back hurricanes and their extensive impact on our organization, an influential family group of AMI shareholders decided to take a very active role and demanded that I make changes to which I simply could not agree,” Pearl said in a LinkedIn post. Pearl has had no involvement with the company since mid-November.

The companies run the largest indoor shrimp farm in the United States and commercialize disease-free and disease-resistant broodstock and PLs.
