Ocean on Land Technology signed a strategic licensing agreement with Northbay Innovations aimed at enhancing lobster and crustacean hatchery systems worldwide. This collaboration leverages Ocean on Land’s innovative Aquahive and Northbay’s Cube technologies, marking a significant step forward in sustainable aquaculture.
Giles Cadman, the entrepreneur behind Ocean on Land Technology, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, stating, “We are delighted to be able to offer our customers the Aquahive and the Cube, and we look forward to working closely with Richard Land to further innovate restoration of lobster stocks as part of our mission to regenerate coastal ecosystems.”
Aquahive is a solution in lobster hatchery technology and it is pivotal in hatcheries all over the world. The pioneering design of the Aquahive system enables hatcheries to improve survival rates of juvenile lobsters in a unit designed for efficient use of space.
Kenneth Norton, CEO of Northbay Innovations, highlighted the synergy between the two companies. "Aligning with Ocean on Land Technology enables us to enhance the Cube with the cutting-edge design of the Aquahive. This partnership is essential for advancing our shared goal of sustainable marine life cultivation."
As this new agreement begins, Ocean on Land Technology and Northbay Innovations would like to extend gratitude to Dennis Gowland, the original chief designer of the Aquahive, for his significant contributions and wish him the best in his well-deserved retirement.
