BioMar appoints managing director for Chilean business unit

Derek Kohn will lead BioMar Chile and further advance the company’s commitment to sustainable and innovative aquaculture.

As of November 2023, executive Derek Kohn will take over the role of managing director for BioMar Chile, with the aim of further advancing the company’s commitment to sustainable and innovative aquaculture.

Kohn will strengthen the management of the Chilean business unit of BioMar. Together with the organization, he will continue to drive the strategic goals that have positioned BioMar Chile as the industry leader in sustainable and efficient aquafeed solutions.

Kohn brings over 20 years of experience in leadership positions within the salmon farming industry for companies such as Australis Seafood, MultiX and Mowi, with his latest role being the commercial & processing director of Australis Seafood.

BioMar Chile, which is part of the Salmon Division of the BioMar Group, currently provides feed solutions to a wide range of salmon farmers in Chile and is one of the largest business units within the BioMar Group.
