BIO-UV Group appointed Roy Charsley as aquaculture market sales leader, a newly created role that reflects the water treatment pioneer’s strategic ambitions to accelerate growth and strengthen its leadership in the global aquaculture sector.

With over 25 years of experience in the aquaculture industry, particularly in recirculating aquaculture systems (RAS), Charsley joins BIO-UV Group after serving as the operations and general manager for a major multinational aquaculture producer. In this role, he oversaw the UK’s largest RAS facility and led a multi-million GBP capital development project.

At BIO-UV Group, he will oversee the commercial growth in the global aquaculture market, identifying new opportunities for the company’s advanced water treatment technologies and solutions, and supporting the development of a robust global go-to-market strategy. Charsley will play a critical role in the group’s objective to double turnover within five years by expanding its reach in high-growth industrial markets.

His appointment reinforces BIO-UV Group’s vision to deliver sustainable, chemical-free water treatment solutions that respond to the rising demand for responsible aquaculture production methods.

“It’s an exciting time to join BIO-UV Group,” said Charsley. “The company has a clear and compelling vision for the aquaculture sector. I’m looking forward to helping build on its strengths in UV, ozone, and AOP disinfection by applying my practical experience and industry insight to support sustainable fish farming operations worldwide.”

In addition to his operational credentials, Charsley has extensive international experience providing technical due diligence and consulting services in Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and the Americas. He has led production teams, developed new hatchery and site concepts, advised investors, and introduced innovative Standard Operating Procedures and biosecurity standards across diverse geographies and regulatory environments.

BIO-UV Group’s president and CEO, Laurent-Emmanuel Migeon, said that “Roy’s experience, leadership and technical knowledge make him an exceptional addition to our team. His understanding of the complexities of aquaculture operations, coupled with a passion for innovation, aligns perfectly with our mission to deliver reliable and sustainable water treatment systems tailored to sector-specific needs.”
