Nicovita developed the first comprehensive system for pre-growout of shrimp, designed for each shrimp farming scenario.
The new pre-growout system was born from the need to adapt the feeding systems to the new market strategies, as well as the change from direct seeding to multiphase systems. “Anticipating new scenarios, we have adapted and specialized our portfolio to the new productive reality, in which shrimp are transferred to different pools throughout the cultivation cycle,” the company said.
Understanding these transfer processes, the company launched a portfolio specialized in pre-growout and post-transfer through nutritional formulas of Nicovita Classic and Nicovita Katal, with two objectives, achieving a higher survival in the pre-growout stage and higher compensatory growth in the post-transfer stage, always at the lowest cost per thousand.
“Pre-growout stage is key to achieve the maximum growth potential: a large and strong shrimp in the shortest time. For this reason, in addition to a good quality of larvae, a superior nutritional solution is needed and good management that takes into account the specific conditions of the farm,” explained Pablo Rojas, director of the feed technology area at Vitapro. “Nicovita's constant attention to shrimp farmers allowed us to develop this comprehensive system, offering a holistic vision of all production management, combining a quality product with specialized advice and the management of integrated field technologies.”
