Scottish trout company, Kames Fish Farming Limited, appointed Neil Manchester as managing director designate at the start of August 2021, and will take up the full position as managing director on February 1, 2022.
Manchester began his fish farming career at Kames in 1985, before moving to Landcatch in 1998 and then Hendrix Genetics in 2011. As managing director of aquaculture at Hendrix Genetics he has been instrumental in developing them as a global leading player in the aquaculture breeding sector. He recently decided to step down from Hendrix Genetics.
Stuart Cannon, who has been managing director of Kames since 1972, will setep down as managing director on February 1, 2022, and take on the role of Chairman.
“We are very pleased that Neil is re-joining our Kames family and we are confident that he has all the right credentials to continue our strategy, development and expansion of Kames. This is a very exciting and positive step and we look forward to 50 more successful years for Kames,” the company said.
