There are around 230 fish hatcheries in Norway and recently DN reported that a third have never been visited by the supervisory authorities. Norwegian authorities checked the situation and found deviations in nine cases out of ten.
The Norwegian government is now announcing that its Environment Agency is planning a nationwide inspection campaign specifically for fish hatcheries, DN reported.
The agency’s role is to plan and organize nationwide inspection action for relevant industries.
