Billund Aquaculture will be adding 12 more locations to its list of projects: four construction contracts in Chile for Atlantic salmon parr, smolt and post-smolt facilities for a total of €28 million; one trout facility in Peru; three salmon smolt and post-smolt facilities in Norway for a total of €50 million; one kingfish facility in Central Europe; and three design contracts for Atlantic salmon grow-out in Asia and the Middle East.
Regarding this major achievement, Steffen Busk Jespersen, Group CEO of Billund Aquaculture said that “considering our vast experience and leadership in the market, we are very proud and happy about the trust our customers have placed in us. The fact that so many companies have chosen us as their technology partners is very gratifying, especially since most of the projects are linked to recurring market-leading customers. The current challenges caused by the restrictions in place to reduce the spread of the coronavirus are affecting us. But, so far we have not seen any contract cancellations or postponement of contract negotiations, but we anticipate these challenges will affect the speed of growth.”
