RAS shrimp technology to showcase in VIV MEA 2021
October 28, 2021

ECOshrimp will showcase at VIV MEA 2021 from November 23-25, 2021 in Abu Dhabi. The company developed a unique cutting-edge technology that enables intensive land-based production of shrimp based on Recirculating Aquaculture System (RAS) by AquaMaof. The advanced shrimp production platform offers a sustainable and cost-effective solution for today's growing needs for food security, by enabling local production of fresh, tasty, healthy shrimp free of chemicals and antibiotics.

ECOshrimp has partnered with Agrotop, a leading global player in poultry and livestock turnkey projects, and will present, for the first time, a unique offering of a full turnkey project in addition to the standard design and support package.

The companies will present their vast experience in climate conditions similar to the UAE's and will showcase solutions designed to resist extreme heat and adapt to varying humidity conditions. Agrotop will demonstrate its full range of vertically integrated poultry solutions and industrial tailor-made projects, which integrate the engineering, construction and technological disciplines in order to provide the ideal infrastructure for the ECOshrimp shrimp production technology.

ECOshrimp operates its R&D center in the southern part of Israel, in the middle of the desert, and has acquired extensive experience in successfully growing shrimp in these extreme conditions since 2016. By teaming with Agrotop, which has completed complicated projects in difficult climate zones all over the world, including in the UAE, both companies feel very confident with the advantages of the new tailored solution.

“We are very excited to have the opportunity to present our new integrated solution for shrimp production at VIV MEA and meet face to face after the long COVID-19 intermission, with the local agriculture and food-tech industry professionals, entrepreneurs and investors, who are all keen to promote food security in the UAE through advanced technological projects,” said Shelly Lotan, ECOshrimp’s VP Marketing. “This will also enable us to introduce our collaboration with Agrotop as part of our strategy to provide turnkey solutions for protein production.”
