The Aquaculture Stewardship Council (ASC) and the Centre for Aquaculture Progress (CAP) will host a practical workshop to help fish producers meet ASC's new electrical stunning requirements. The focus will be on seabream and seabass produced in the Mediterranean.
The workshop will be conducted in English, and a recording of the workshop will be shared with all attendees.
The workshop will discuss:
- The new ASC stunning requirements
- How electrical stunning technology works
- The benefits of electrical stunning
- Producers’ experiences with electrical stunning
- Funding options for electrical stunning
There will also be time for a Q&A with standards experts from ASC and technical experts from CAP. Questions can be submitted ahead of time by noting them in the registration form.
Fish farm managers, harvest managers, quality assurance teams, certification managers and anyone involved in ASC compliance is welcome to join the event.
