AquaFarm, NovelFarm and AlgaeFarm took place from May 25-27 at Pordenone Fiere, Italy with a number of visitors in line with the 2020 edition, with a 15% increase in the number of registered entries. The excellent percentage of foreign participants was also confirmed, validating the internationality of these events.

“This edition confirmed the quality of the project we focused on five years ago, together with the team of partners and collaborators who operate with us. AquaFarm and NovelFarm are growing every year, nationally and internationally, a clear sign of how the topics dealt with truly represent strategic issues for the nutrition of the future,” said the president of Pordenone Fiere, Renato Pujatti. “The format that combines exhibition stands and a program of specialized conferences is a winner because these fairs look towards innovation and research, two fundamental spheres for the leading sectors, strongly projected towards the future, and in which we want to invest further.”

The conference saw the presence of 120 exhibitors (35% from abroad) in a total of 6,900 square meters of exhibition space. The event also hosted a conference program on important trends in the sector, such as European programs, energy costs, sustainability, innovation, and digitalization.

The three events were promoted and supported by important collaborations, including the partnership with API, the Association of Italian Fish Farmers, and with AMA, the Mediterranean Aquaculture Association, which respectively represent fish and shellfish breeders, for AquaFarm. AISAM (Italian Association for the study and applications of microalgae) collaborated in the drafting of the AlgaeFarm conference program. Chamber of Commerce of Pordenone and Udine and ITA (Italia Trade Agency) support the three events.

NovelFarm, which has now become the reference event in Italy and Southern Europe for new generation agricultural crops in a protected environment, vertical farm and hydroponics, after three editions in which it was held simultaneously with Aquafarm, from 2023 it will have a different time frame taking place as an independent event on March 23 and 24 always in Pordenone.
