“The recent announcement by the President of the Regional Government of Madeira that events can now take place on the island with 50% seating capacity came as good news to the EAS Board of Directors. Having also filed a formal request to the Madeiran Health Authority, we strongly believe that whatever the final format and capacity, the event can go ahead in Funchal,” the organization said.

Deadline for abstract submission for oral-requested presentations was extended to May 15 to give more time following the recent AE2020 ONLINE event for people to submit. The new deadline is a strict one and abstracts submitted later than this date will have significantly less chance of being accepted for oral presentation and will be assigned as E-posters in sessions that have reached their capacity. The deadline for submitting abstracts for E-poster presentation remains August 28.
