The workshop is aimed at congregating research groups from all over the world with a special interest on unraveling the biological bases of the reproductive process and contributing to the improvement of reproduction in aquaculture.

This workshop, born in the context of a European research network, was first celebrated in Vodňany (Czech Republic) back in 2007, followed by Valencia (Spain), Budapest (Hungary), Faro (Portugal), Ancona (Italy), Vodňany (Czech Republic), Rennes (France), and the last event took place in Gdańsk (Poland) in 2022.
