Bluefront Equity-owned ozone and oxygen specialist Redox AS entered into a cooperation with Swedish company Anolytech to develop new solutions for the optimization of water quality and hygiene for the aquaculture and fishery industries.

Redox will, through the collaboration, offer Anolytech's technology as part of its system deliveries to the fish farming and fishery industries. In addition, Redox will offer Anolytech’s products on a stand-alone basis.

Redox, headquartered in Norway, develops environmentally friendly system solutions that improve fish welfare and biosecurity for the aquaculture industry. Redox has a strong position within land-based aquaculture, both within oxygen production and ozone.

Swedish company Anolytech has developed a technical solution that enables the production of its “AnoDes” disinfectant at the site it will be used. AnoDes kills bacteria, viruses, mold, fungi and spores through environmentally friendly disinfection of water and surfaces.

“This strategic cooperation agreement underlines our continuous efforts to offer the fishery and aquaculture industries the best possible solutions for improved biosecurity and fish welfare, with the smallest possible environmental footprint and increased profitability for the customer,” said Jonas Bergman, managing director of Redox.

Anolytech’s objective is to replace harmful chemicals with a sustainable alternative. The company's current main market is Europe and customers are in ocean-based industries, agriculture, the food industry, hotels and property, public sector and healthcare.

“Redox’s strong position within the aquaculture and fishery industries makes them the right cooperation partner for us. Both companies see great potential in developing new solutions that improve water quality and reduce chemical discharges. The interest in sustainable technology solutions is increasing and we expect to be part of driving this change together with Redox,” said Sandra Lindström, managing director of Anolytech.
