Blue Ocean Technology will deliver complete sludge treatment with dewatering and drying of fish sludge to Hima Seafood, the world’s largest land-based trout farm in Rjukan, Norway. The contract is worth more than NOK 30 million (USD 3 million). 

The agreement includes Bluehouse systems belt filters BF5000 and Bluehouse systems screw presses S-750, with complete setup including washing and disinfection systems, complete piping systems, all electrical and control systems.

Furthermore, the eversludgeTM system will be is also included in the contract for complete maintenance, operation, and 24/7 remote monitoring of the plant.

“The technology scores on low energy consumption, compact area requirements, and, high dry matter levels. All this provides cost savings and a better ESG accounting for the fish farmers,” said Hans Runshaug, CEO of Blue Ocean Technology. 

The design manager and turnkey contractor for the processing plant is Eyvi, which is the contractual counterparty that delivered to Hima Seafood Rjukan.
