Aquafeed.com and Hatchery Feed & Management are looking for an assistant editor to work remotely. The candidate will be responsible for creating content such as website news, interviews, social media content and newsletters. Experience writing B2B or aquaculture technical content is preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Create engaging content, including website news, newsletters, and social media posts.
- Assist the editor with tasks related to media production and management.
- Conduct interviews with industry professionals to craft compelling stories about individuals and companies.
- Perform thorough research and fact-checking to ensure accuracy.
- Identify customer needs, trending topics, and content gaps to propose fresh ideas for content planning.
- Update and maintain online content to keep it relevant and up-to-date.
- Ensure all deliverables meet customer standards, align with guidelines, and adhere to strategic objectives.
- Contribute to the development of innovative brand copy, from initial concepts to final delivery.
Requirements:
- Essential: Strong knowledge of the aquaculture industry.
- Proven experience in writing and editing both short- and long-form B2B content.
- Experience with technical writing is a plus.
- Ability to interpret briefs and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills and a professional demeanor.
- Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively in a team setting.
- Reliable, with a commitment to maintaining clear communication while working on projects.
- Fluent in English, with exceptional writing and speaking abilities.
- Creative mindset with basic graphic design skills.
