Vinh Hoan invested VND 50 billion (USD 2.14 million) in its subsidiary Vinh Hoan Fish Hatchery. This contribution raised the hatchery capital to VND 148 billion (USD 6.33 million) which aims to build a high-tech facility.

In early 2019, Vinh Hoan launched the project to produce pangasius fingerlings using multiple new scientific applications, aiming to improve the quality of fingerlings in a sustainable way without raising production costs. Vinh Hoan established Vinh Hoan Fish Hatchery Company in An Giang province and focused on implementing the project of producing 3-level pangasius. With an area of nearly 50 hectares, the project aims to provide 1.6 billion larvae and 30 million fingerlings of pangasius per year.

Truong Thi Le Khanh, chairwoman and founder of Vinh Hoan Corporation, advocates for the sustainable development of the Vietnam pangasius industry. “We must change the mindset about fingerling and broodstock, water environment, farming practices, and processing technology that must follow a circular model and apply highly innovative technology.”
