RPS Biologiques launched its first product in Scotland. Supratect™ is a highly effective natural product for the maintenance of optimal health of fish and fish eggs. It is a first-in-class and easy-to-use product made entirely from plant material that supports both the organic and traditional aquaculture sectors. It is a safe, sustainable and cost-effective solution for maintaining optimal fish health during early life stages in freshwater aquaculture operations.

Supratect™ is a non-toxic natural product that has no adverse effects on human or fish health and can be used as part of an integrated health management approach. It allows commercial fish farmers to produce healthy food in a safe and environmentally friendly manner.

“RPS Biologiques is excited to be launching its first product to support Scottish Aquaculture, following successful launches in Canada and Chile. For the first time, an effective natural product can be used as part of an integrated fish health management approach, supporting both traditional and organic aquaculture activities. Our partnership with STIM Scotland provides for dedicated freshwater technical support and we look forward to supporting our customers in improving freshwater outcomes,” said Subrata Chowdhury, CEO of RPS Biologiques.

Supratect™ has also received approval from Canadian and Chilean authorities and is widely used in those jurisdictions. Supratect™ will be available to customers in Scotland from August 2024 through its exclusive distribution and technical support partner STIM Scotland.

“The launch of Supratect™ in Scotland represents a significant milestone and STIM is pleased to be able to support customers going forward with this new product. Supratect™ will further strengthen the toolbox for farmers as part of an integrated approach to fish health management. STIM Scotland is dedicated in its mission to delivering and supporting fish health solutions and innovations in the aquaculture industry,” said Justin Watson, technical manager at STIM Scotland.
