Pure Salmon Technology partnered with Lødingen Fisk as a supplier for its new smolt facility in Vestbygda, Nordland. The agreement marks an important step for both companies in developing a flexible facility for the future.
Following multiple visits to Pure Salmon Technology’s reference sites, Lødingen Fisk gained a clear understanding of the company’s technological solutions and its ability to execute projects. The combination of solid previous deliveries and broad expertise across disciplines was key in choosing a partner.
“We look forward to collaborating with Pure Salmon Technology on this project. Their expertise, technology, and comprehensive approach give us confidence in an efficient project execution. We are convinced this will ensure high quality for our upcoming smolt facility,” said Truls Olsen, managing director of Lødingen Fisk.
With an existing production site already in place, Vestbygda has been a natural location for further expansion. The collaboration has focused on flexibility and the effective use of local resources such as power, water, and land.
Through a thorough evaluation of various technologies where Lødingen Fisk considered several options like flow-through, recirculation and reuse systems, the company decided to partner up with Pure Salmon Technology.
“Their decision to choose us confirms their trust in our competence, technology, and ability to deliver tailored solutions. We look forward to supporting the project through all phases, from planning to completion, as well as providing operational support in the production phase,” said Preben Strand, key client director at Pure Salmon Technology.
Lødingen Fisks project is part of their long-term plan for future growth and sustainable development in the region. Production volume in the facility is estimated to be 15,000 m³ and includes complete sections for fry, smolt, and post-smolt, and support systems to ensure efficient operations.
This will be the second facility Pure Salmon Technology delivers for the ownership group behind Lødingen Fisk.
