Mikael Denhardt was appointed as CEO of CM Aqua.

Denhardt joins CM Aqua with a strong technical background. From 2002 to 2014, he worked at LEGO in multiple senior management positions that were responsible for different areas as novelty product development, manufacturing, lean implementation in several countries and procurement (then based in Singapore for three years).

Denhardt joined Danfoss Cooling in 2014 as project director (product development globally e.g. valves in air-conditioning) and then senior director business development (e.g. sensors incl digitalization, IoT and connectivity) until February 2021. In March 2021, Denhardt joined AKVA group Land-based as head of projects, responsible for the execution of AKVA Group’s global engineering and building activities. During this period, he has developed insights into aquaculture.

“We believe Michael can continue the well-established CM Aqua values of partnership, trust and be instrumental in reaching our increased company ambitions,” said Asbjørn Reinkind, Chairman of BoD.

“I believe RAS has the potential to serve the growing global demand for protein sources, with a positive CO2 footprint,” said Denhardt. “With the newly launched Drumfilter HEX version X and RATZ Protein Skimmer, CM Aqua has the strong foundation to secure the success of our customers, so I look forward to meeting both existing and new customers.”

Kurt Carlsen will remain with CM Aqua, going forward with a full focus on sales and technical improvements.
