Fish from Pure Salmon's Polish land-based farm has been endorsed by the Ocean Wise Seafood program as an ocean-friendly farmed fish option. Recently, the site also attained certification from the Aquaculture Stewardship Council (ASC).

The recirculating aquaculture system (RAS) near Warsaw, formerly known as Global Fish, is co-owned by private equity 8F Asset Management, owner of the Pure Salmon brand, and Israel’s AquaMaof Technologies. The site operates commercially but functions primarily as an R&D and training center for AquaMaof and Pure Salmon.

“We are proud to partner with companies like Pure Salmon Poland,” said Sophika Kostyniuk, manager of Ocean Wise. “Their sustainable farming practices ensure more Ocean Wise recommended Atlantic salmon options will be accessible long into the future.”
